Create a Windows Live ID without a Hotmail or Live Email Address

You don’t need a Hotmail or Live email address to have a Windows Live ID. Learn how to create a Windows Live ID with any email address that can be used with Windows Live services, Messenger, or an Xbox Live profile.

1. Go to https://signup.live.com/.
2. Fill out the form with your information and you’ll have a new Windows Live ID.

   

Don’t forget: A verification email will be sent to the email address you created the Windows Live ID with. You must click the verification link in the email they send you to prove you own the email address and unlock all of the Windows Live ID features.
